Parks at Arlington Mall

The goal for the Parks at Arlington project was to refresh the mall’s overall appearance while controlling costs and ensuring safe ongoing operations. Our scope of work touched every inch of the 200,000-square-foot facility.

General Growth Properties (GGP), the owner of the Parks at Arlington, is a longtime client. We painted all of the public spaces including a skylight 98 feet in the air, replaced the elevators, upgraded the restrooms, and reworked the food court. We also replaced over one million square feet of tile. The project schedule coincided with the all-important holiday shopping rush, so our activity had to be completely invisible to the over 65,000 daily visitors to the facility. Work was completed at night and in the early morning hours while the mall was closed. Each day after closing, we brought in materials and manpower for the night’s work, wrapped the kiosks and holiday decorations to protect them from dust and paint, performed demolition and removed the old tile, installed the new tile and paint, removed debris and equipment, and unwrapped and fully clean the work area so the mall was ready for shoppers by opening.
