Apple Store

Based on the tremendous success we achieved with several Apple store build-outs throughout North America, Apple invited us to build one of their flagship stores. Located in the heart of Miami Beach, the saturated construction market and site location with high pedestrian traffic demanded close coordination with the City of Miami Beach and each of our trade partners.
Situated between Lincoln Road and Lincoln Lane, the location for the new Apple Store required us to preserve the existing historic Florida beach sand-stucco facade. This facade had to be delicately held in place, while the rest of the building was demolished. We preserved the wall structurally by enclosing it with Florida Keystone cladding. The panels we used were larger than any ever used before.

We analyzed all the building systems and components to ensure the best possible use of Apple’s financial resources. It was vital we coordinate with the owner’s vendors and for installation of owner-supplied materials to deliver a quality, cost-efficient project with the shortest possible schedule. Given the zero lot line and urban site, our use of lean principles during construction allowed us to maximize the limited space and provide viable options to successfully meet the City of Miami Beach requirements.
